Using your anticipation guide from class, and thinking about the discussion we had, you will write a post stating your opinion, explaining your reasons, and justifying your opinion with an example (real or made up).
Your post should be in this order:
1. Write the statement (choose one of the four) and say whether you agreed or disagreed with it.
2. Explain your reason for your opinion.
3. Give an example from history or made up, and explain how it supports your opinion (What does it show? Why is it important? Why did you include it?)

When a leader is cruel, incompotent, unfair, or disloyal to the prople he/she is leading, it is acceptable to forcibly remove the person from office by whatever means neccesary.
ReplyDeleteI agreed with this statement because when a ruler is cruel and mean to his people, there's no point to keep him/her in office. You should remove him/her immediately.
If a ruler is mean an killing his servants and people, it's better to lose one life instead of thousands.

Cruel leader 2.
ReplyDeleteNero was the Emperor of Rome at one point in time and he was crazy. He would go out at night and just start murdering people randomly. He needed to be stopped. So the people tried to kill him and he fled to the countryside and killed himself. So I agree with the statement. I agree because if you did nothing to stop Nero then he would have killed more people. My motto,"Kill one, Save a thousand."
1."Hereditary rule is an effective means for choosing a well qualified leader with the best interest of his/her country in mind" I disa gree with this statement.
ReplyDelete2. If we have a person ruling we may not want the rulers son to have the position of power we may want to vote for the next ruler because what if his son is really bad or has a mentall problem.
3. When the president is in office their position doesn't go to his son we vote for the next person to be in power. 7a16
1. When in a position of great power, it is sometimes necessary to make personal sacrafices, even if they are extremely painful on a personal level. this is number 4 and I agreed with this.
ReplyDelete2. I agreed with this because to become a great leader you must be able to take from yourself, instead of the people.
3. Say there is a war with China, your son is having his birthday the same day you are supposed to be in China overseeing their surrender. I would probably be in China. 7b 13
#1 Hereditary rule is an effective means for choosing a well-qualified ruler with the best intrests of his country in mind. I disagree with this statement.
ReplyDeleteI disagreed with this statement because I did not think someone should be chosen to rule by default. What if they are cruel and unfair?
The old, wise king has just died. His son is an evil, cruel, and oppressive man. Would you want the evil son to become king? Or should you choose a good ruler? I would choose a better ruler!

1 When a leader is chosen to rule for life, he/she should trust no one because of the vast amount of power that comes with the leadership role. This is #3 and I agreed.
ReplyDelete2 I agree because the person who you think is your best friend might just be using you to get his way of how the country is run.
3 Julius Ceaser was killed by his trusted Senate and even his best friend, Brutus, was on the Senate. History shows you should trust no one when your the ruler for life. I included this because it really supports my exact point on how you should never trust anyone while in power.
Opps I forgot my class and number on the post before.

1. Write the statement (choose one of the four) and say whether you agreed or disagreed with it.
ReplyDeleteI choose Hereditary. I agree with t.
2. Explain your reason for your opinion.
weel what if the son is rude, mean, and or selfish and should not gte the chance to be king. I f he really cared he would let other have a chance to be ruler

(#1Q) I Don't think Hereditary rule is a good way of choosing a good ruler, because if it is a bad ruler that ruler could teach his son to do the same thing that he does. For example, if the king of Britain on and king was paranoid, he would probably set a bad example for his son. That would mean a whole knew genaration of bad kings and queens, which would lead to who wouldn't do the nation very good. 7a29
ReplyDeletetrusting no one #3
ReplyDelete1. On my paper I put disagree, but after awhile, I want to change it to agree.
2. I agree because if someone in your family is "power hungry" they can brainwash you into thinking that you don't want to be in control. Also, your family and close friends are the only ones that can really get inside your head. They are also the only ones who can monator you closely, and then plot a plan to get rid of you for good.
3. Let's say there was a boy named Tom and was now king because his father died. His best friend named James wants to be royal and is jealous of his friend. James will do anything to watch Tom's every move. Tom trusts James that nothing bad will happen just because he's now king. Well what if one night, while Tom was sleeping, James put Tom into a cellar and locked him away forever, eventually the mother would be worried about her son. Later on James goes to the cellar, and Tom is dead. James would rush to the mother and tell her that he found her sin dead in a cellar. Eventually, James would be king for finding the queens son, dead or alive. This litte story goes to show that no one can be trusted, even the people who say that they can be trusted. Expect the unexpected. This is important because it shows you to always becareful of who you tell your secrets to and, to choose your friends wisely.
I included this type of story because I thought that if anybody else reads this, that they would at least think it was interesting instead of hearing about for example " Caeser did this ans Caeser did that".7b10
1"When a leader is cruel, incompetent, unfair, or dis loyal to the people s/he is leading, it is acceptible to forcibly remove the person from office by all means necessary" is not something I would ,quite frankly, agree with.
ReplyDelete2I say this because they are your leader, if you don't like what they are doing then tell them a better way, if they don't, then you can revolt.
3What if the leader didn't hear the plee from the victom who was sent to prison unfairly, wouldn't you go and tell the ruler what the WHOLE story was, and save the person, so the leader knows what to do next time this happens?
7A13
1. Hereditary rule is an effective means for choosing a leader nwith the best interestsof his/hercountry in mind. I agreed.
ReplyDelete2. I agree because you know that they are true at heart because they are true at heart and not just power-hungry. That was they were raised by their parents. If their parents were bad rulers, then give the next of a kin a chance and if they're a bad ruler two then remove that family from power.
3. Imagine if it wasn't family and the person fooled everyone and made them think that he or she was a good ruler, but he or she was really just power-hungry.
7B 19
(#1)I don't think Hereditary rule is a good way of picking a good ruler, because if it is a bad ruler then that ruler could teach his son to do the same thing that he does. For example, if the king of Britain had a son and the king was bad then he would set a bad example for his son, therefore a whole knew generation of bad kings and queens. Which would then lead to a not very good nation. 7a29
ReplyDelete1.Hereditary rule is an effective means for choosing a well qualified leader with the best interests of his/her country in mind. I Agree
ReplyDelete2. I agree with the statement beacause I think a leader should no about the country instead of wondering of what he should do in a situation.
3. A leaderwho knows everthing you need to know to be a leader, but he doesn't know about the best things about his country. Soso he goes to the general and says," I want to go to war," He goes to war not knowing what country he was fighting for after they went out to start the battle and accidentally destroys the country, with the people he needs at his side, because he doesn't know what it is.
It shows that to be a leader you need to know about it or else it will crumble.
It's important beacause it shows you know everything you need to know to be a good leader.
I included it because, one I was told too and two they should know my opinion to see what I think if they need to know.

1. When a leader is cruel, incompetent, unfair, or disloyal to the people when he/she is leading, it is acceptable to forcibly remove the person from office by whatever means necessary. I agree with this statement.
ReplyDelete2. I agree with this statement because a leader could not be looking out for the best interests of the people. If the leader is corrupt, the people should be able to remove him/her from office then vote another leader to help their empire.
3. If there was a very mean leader who killed his people because they broke the law and took all their freedoms away, the people might rebel against him. They might kill him or use weapons to take over. Then they could vote to elect a new leader. 7B29
1. When a leader is cruel, incompetent, unfair, or disloyal to the people he/she is leading, it is acceptable to forcibly remove the person from office by whatever means necessary, I agreed with this statement.
ReplyDelete2.I agreed because many of people could be a leader but turn up to be a awful leader. This is why I thought you should be able to remove the leader and vote on another leader
3.There once was an evil ruler who tortured and killed his people for any offense. They did not have any freedom and feared for thier lives. The people united and killed him because they thought that was the only way. They wanted to get a new and fair leader.
When in position of great power,it is sometimes necessary to make personal sacrifices, even if they are extremeely painful on a personal level.I agreed with this statement.
ReplyDelete2.The reason I agreed with this statement is because what if it was your daughter's birthday and you were the President of the United States and you had to meet the Ambassodor of Germany at the same time of your daughter's birthday party, wouldn't you do your job as President because you will always have your family on your side.
3.This shows that your family will always be there for you.

1. Hereditary rule is an effective means for choosing a well qualifed leader with the best interests of his/her country in mind. I dssagree with the hereditary rule.
ReplyDelete2. I disagree with the hereditary rule because, first of all, it is completely unfair to the people who have wished there whole lives that they could at least run for leader, but they can't because the're not apart of the royal family! Secondly, what if the rulers only son is crazy. I'll get into that in question #3
3. As I was saying, What if the next person in line to become leader is completely wacko and wants to destroy everything in sight! I don't think he should rule untill he gets better or seeks help. If you get rid of the hereditary rule, then you won't even have to deal with the statement where you have to forcibly remove a cruel,incompetent,...ruler from power. This is important because your talking about peoples lives here. You don't them to be in danger because of the hereditary rule.
7B20
1. Write the statement and say whether you agreed or disagreed with it. I chose #3-When a leader is chosen to rule for life, s/he should trust no one because of the vast amount of absolute power that comes with the leadership role. I agree with this statement.
ReplyDelete2. Explain your reason for your opinion. I agree because ruling for a life time would be very stressful and you could easily get paranoid so someone that knows that could easily trick you into doing something bad and destructive.
3. Give an example from history or made up, and explain how it supports your opinion (What does it show? Why is it important? Why did you include it?) My example I that what if you were to get stressed and ask, what should I do, to everyone and ask for opinions. Then should the wrong guy to ask come and give you very very bad advice, you could destroy the whole kingdom. This supports my opinion because the whole kingdom of yours is at stake.

1. Hereditary rule is an effective means for choosing a well qualifed leader with the best interests of his/her country in mind. I disagree with the hereditary rule.
ReplyDelete2. I think that it is NOT a given if your father was a good and just leader that you would be one too. If the family(Hereditary) rule lived on, bad things could happen such as if the leasder is a bad leader and taught his kids to be like him and people who were educated and wanted to become the emperor or leader wouldn't even get a chance. I think it should be based on his/her knowledge and their plans and goals they would have if they got the job.
3. Nero the not wse emperor. His step-father was a "okay" leader. He was just but didn't do anything really truly amazing or something really terrible. When he passed away because of murder by his wife, her son, Nero, took the throne. Nero was not very inteligent and made some bad desicions. If it wasn't for the Hereditary rule, the citizens could've picked a much better leader than him. It is important to know that your reputation DOES NOT count on your parents if they're smart and just. It counts on YOU and if you had power what you do with it.

1. When a leader is chosen to rule for life, s/he
ReplyDeleteshould trust no one because of the vast amount of
absolute power that comes with the leadership role. I agree.
2. I agree beacuse people might try to get close to you to try to kill you. Also someone might try to pretend to be in love with with you and try to poison you.
3. Claudius, one of the many emperors of Rome, married his niece, named Agrippina. She was pretending to be in love with him. She tried to poison him, but then she had to call a doctor to poison him. The doctor pored poison down his throat. Then he died.
7A03
Hereditary rule is an effective means for choosing a well qualified leader with the best interests of his/her country in mind.
ReplyDeleteI disagree because it isn't fair to other people who would want to become king and have a good life. Also because if a king has a son that is mental or evil and he becomes king he might kill a lot of people or even have the whole country he is ruling destroyed.
It is just like Andrew. He was mental and killed thousands of people for no reason. He also burned other peoples homes for fun.

1.When a leader is chosen to rule for life, s/he should trust no one because of the vast amount of absolute power that comes with the leadership role.
ReplyDelete2. If s/he are ruling for life, people that may seem close to you might be acting that way because they want to take over. I obviously agree with the statement because they want to have the power of ruling people and will do anything to get it!
3. As an example I chooe Julias Ceaser who was murdered by his best friend who he trusted derly and was one of his people.

1. "When a leader is cruel, incompetent, unfair, or disloyal to the people s/he is leading, it is acceptable to forcibly remove the person from office by whatever means necessary." -Statement #2. I agree with this statement.
ReplyDelete2. I agree with statement #2 because a leader with an immense amount of dominance should absolutely not make horrible, cruel, unjust decisions just to become popular or historical. It is the leader's job to guide their people in the right direction by using equality and making sensible decisions. If an empire disciplined their citizens for unusual reasons, they would create another position for authority. This concludes that a ruler should be automatically ejected if they are being a brutal leader.
3. The Roman emperor Caligula was a cruel, insane, wild ruler that killed many people for no reason or because he did not favor them. Caligula was assassinated by a tribune of Praetorian Guards which plotted to murder him. I included this example because the officials took charge and killed Caligula because he needed to be removed from his power. This shows that they made the correct choice and withdrew his job as ruler because of his madness. Also, another modern example is when a teacher or principal is rude, mean, abusive, etc., I think they should be removed from their position by all vital means. School is meant for education, not for bad morals, so teachers and principals should be wise and caring for their students. I included this because statement #2 does not just involve politics and rulers, it is also incorporated to everyday life.
7a27
1.When in a postion of great power, it is sometimes necessary to make personal sacrifices, even if they are extremly painful on a personal level. I agreed with this statement.
ReplyDelete2.I agreed with this statement because you signed up for this job and you should always be able to commit, but if it isn't the most important meeting in the world you could maybe miss it and go to your other funtion.
3.An example of this statement is, if you were President, and you had a meeting about how you could make the world a better place and your daughter or son had a birthday party on the exact same day you wouldn't blow off the important meeting because you could change the world. Your daughter or son would maybe be sad, but it would be a better choice to help the world. Eventually they would forgive you. It shows that your family will always be there for you in tough situations.
7B04
1) When a position of great power, it is sometimes necessary to make personal sacrifices, even if they are extremely painful on a personal level.
ReplyDelete2) I agree with making great sacrifices in a great position even if they are painful on a personal level because if your in a great position then you have great responsibilities. People in that kind of position should be entitled to making sacrifices. There is a saying, "With great power brings great responsibilities," and I think that should be followed. Sacrifices could save hundreds to millions depending on the situation.
3) Alright, imagine that you are the president and you have to attend a family reunion. Then a big explosion hit the ground, possibly a bomb, and you cant help or give any commands of what to do because you have to go to the reunion. I think that you better cancel the reunion and help your country and people.
7b24
When in a position of great power, it is sometimes necessary to make personal sacrifices, even if they are extremely painful on a personel level.
ReplyDeleteI agreed to this statement because what if you miss your wife's birthday to go to a meeting with an important leader of a different country. Sure, your wife will be super mad, but what if you can make her and everyone elses life better and safer in the future.
(Made up)Say you're President, and you had to go to a meeting with the ruler of China to come clean with whatever both countries have been plotting, and you pursuade him to say that they had been planning to bomb the place you live in next year. But at the same time, you're missing your mothers birthday. you would probably want to go to the meeting because what if it could mean the safety and well being of your family and everyone else.
7b#17
When in a position of great power it is sometimes necessary to make persanol sacrifices even if they are painful on a personal level. I am in between.
ReplyDeleteI am in the middle depending on the situation. If it is an important meeting that can't be rescedueled I will go to the meeting but if it can be resesuald I will go to the party.
So if your son or daughter was having a birthday and you were scedueled to meet with an important person I would try to rescedual and if I can't I will attened the meeting then go to the pary or go to the party and then the meeting.
7b#7
1.) #4: "When in a position of great power, it is sometimes necessary to make personal sacrifices, even if they are extremely painful."
ReplyDelete2.) Yes, you should make personal sacrifices in a position of great power because it was your choice to be in a position of power and you always "have plans," your people will hate you and will kick you out of office for missing many important meetings and speeches. Little things that seem big to yourself aren't huge occasions to anyone else.
3.) If you didn't think ahead and noticed later that you will miss your daughter's spelling bee if you have to make a speech to settle a war, more people will die if you go to the spelling bee than make the speech.
-7b21
1. When a position of great power, it is necessary to make personal sacrifices even if they are on a extreme level of personal.
ReplyDelete2. I did not agree with this because I don't think you should get that personal with sacrifices. For example, what if you had to kill your own son? That would be too painful and shouldn't be necessary.
3. One example for this would be if the people thought your son was very ugly, and they said to kill him, I do not think that you should have to make the sacrifice to kill him. I mean it's just common sense that your family should come first rather than listen to the people.

1.)When a leader is cruel, incompetent, unfair, or disloyal to the people s/he is leading, it is acceptable to forcibly remove the person from the office by whatever means necessary.
ReplyDeleteI agree with statement.
2.)The reason i agree with this statement is because if this person was cruel and was going to kill millions of innocent people you would save those peoples lives by getting rid of him.
3.) An example in history of something that supports my statement is like if a hitler or Caligula were in power they had took take them down by force. I mean look at hitler, if we hadn't killed him after he killed all the jews he could have wiped out everyone that didn't have blonde hair and blue eyes. Good for rome when caligula was the leader they got rid of him before he did anything terrible. This an exmple of history that stands by my statement.

I think duty comes before familly. It is stupid to put the affares above the job witch HE/SHE opted for. If evry single president only focused on there owen familly, where would be be? If the meeting is how to assasinate HITTLER, you would NOT want to miss it for Your MOTHERS FUNERAL?
ReplyDelete12b- ak
1. When a leader dies, I don't think that automatically a family member should go into their place. I think that maybe the family member might not want the job or their could be someone a lot better for that position. Like Augustus, he was a great leader, but when his son came to power, he ran away twice. They should've given it to somebody who wanted the power and/or deserved it.
ReplyDelete2. I kinda explained in number one, but i will also give another example. Say there was a ruler and he was just the best ruler there was. He was always nice to the people, smart, and had all this power. One days he's killed and his greedy, selfish, dumb daughter takes his place. would you really want the to happen?
3. I already gave two reasons.
7b18
1"When a leader is cruel, incompotent, unfair, or disloyal to the prople he/she is leading, it is acceptable to forcibly remove the person from office by whatever means neccesary. " Agree
ReplyDelete2 If a leader is killing many people, wouldn't it be fair to end just one life, instead of all the people that leader is killing.
3. Hitler killed 1000's of people. If someone would have just ended his life early in the Holocost, not nearly as many lives would have been lost.
7a06
Hereditary rule is an effective means for choosing a well qualifed leader with the best interests of his/her country in mind. I disagree with the hereditary rule.
ReplyDeleteI disagreed with the hereditary rule because it is quite possible that a great ruler may have a child that is not as wise, or as a good a leader as him. Then this wonderful leader would pass on his power to his child and the power would be wrongly used.
Here is an example I have made up about how the hereditary rule could be bad for a country or empire:
The President of the United States is a very good leader because of his cautiosness and his wise decisions. He has made many major improvements. In his third year as president, his son has just turned 26. His father, the president is assasinated, and the hereditary rule forces him to become president. His is still young and has no practice at leading the people of the United States. He makes a series of bad decicions that leads to many americans losing their jobs and eventually causes a war. If we had voted for our new president instead of following the hereditary rule, we would have chosen someone with more experience; someone who would not have made those terrible mistakes. It is very important to have a person who knows what he is doing in power so they do not make mistakes that effect the whole country or empire.
-7b11
Q)When in a postion of great power, it is sometimes necessary to make personal sacrifices, even if they are extremly painful on a personal level. I agreed with this statement.
ReplyDeleteI agreed with this statement because I think it is right to make personal sacrafices when you are in power. For example: If your Dad was president, and you had a dancer recital the same day he had to perpose a speech, would you go to your daughter's dancer recital or the speech? I mean it would be a hard disison, but of corse you would choose the speech. When you have the choice to be in power, you have to come through with it. Im sure your daughter would understand. You have a big responsability to do for your country.
7A#20
1. When a leader is chosen to rule for life, she/he should trust no one because of the vast amount of absolute power that comes with the leadership role. I agree with this.
ReplyDelete2. I agreed with this because when you have that much power, you're never sure who you can trust.
3. For example, when Caesar was stabbed to death by the senate members, one of his "close friends" was in the mob too. I remember in sixth grade that we learned Caesar said,"Et tu Brute?" which means,"Even you Brutus?"
7b27
1.)When a leader is cruel, incompotent, unfair, or disloyal to the people when he/she is leading, it is acceptable to forcibly remove the person from office by whatever means neccesary.
ReplyDelete-I agree with this statement because part of an emperor's job is to be kind to his people, he also has to be fair, for example Nero WAS NOT a good leader.
3.)Hitler is an example of a cruel, unfair, and bad ruler. He tricked his people into putting him into power, which caused people being killed and Jews were sent to horrible camps.

1.When in a position of great power, it is sometimes necessary to make personal sacrifices, even if they are extremely painful on a personal level.(#4)I agree with this statement
ReplyDelete2.I agree because if you have to go to a meeting because the whole world is going to explode or in your part of city its going to explode and your missing your daughters birthday party. I know all parents want to see there kid turn there age, but if you dont save the world in time there wont be a party. This is why you should put the future or the world before family.
3.(made up) I gave you one example on number 2 I'll try to give another one. What if your son is going to college and you wont see him for a month, but you have to go to Aisa because there going to destroy half of your country. Wouldn't you want to save your country so your son and your family have a good life instead of maybe dying because Aisa is going to destroy are country. If you put your family first and the world second there won't be a family there will be a happy world and a sad family.

1.When a leader is unfair or disloyal to his or her people it is legal to force the leader to step down by anything means nessecary.
ReplyDelete2. the golden rule states to treat people how you wish to be treated. the leader failed to do that. so i guess we the people need to treat him how he treated others which was death!
3.The three little pigs and the big bad wolf is my example. The big bad wolf, the leader threaten the three piggies which are the people of the empire. the smarter piggy, the counsil does something to protect his piggy brothers. The only way to vanquish the wolf is to kill him which was a drastick measure.

Heridetary rule is am effective means for choosing a well qualified leader with the best intrest of his/her country in mind. I disagree with the hereditery rule.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with the hereditary rule because what if there is a really mean king or queen and they have a son and he is mean too. So pretty much what you are saying is if there is a mean king then his son should come into power whe n he dies and he is mean too. That is what you are saying if you agree.
My made up story is: Once upon a time King Henry and Queen Jackie were the most powerful and the meanest rulers in all of Tommorowland and they had a son named Prince Jack. One mournful day for the family King Henrypassed away therefore putting clueless Prince Jack into power. All of Tommorowland crumbled apart due to the poor rule of King Jack.

1. When a leader is cruel, incompetent, unfair, or disloyal to the people, that he or she is leading, it is acceptable to forcibly remove the person from office by whatever means necessary. That is the statement that I chose. I agree with this statement.
ReplyDelete2. I agree with this statement because if the ruler is treating the people badly, he or she should be removed as soon as possible. If the ruler is not removed then who knows what he or she will do. If you do not forcibly remove him or her from power, he or she might think that the people think that it is ok because they haven’t done anything about it. If he or she is being cruel, then he orshe should be treated cruel too. Then you would throw him or her in jail for a very long time. He or she could think about his or her actions, and when he or she was let out, they would have a different perspective on life and people, hopefully.
3. An example of a leader being removed from office would be politicians like Grey Davis, a past Governor of California, or Richard Nixon, a past President. When they started making bad decisions that did not represent what the people wanted, and then did some illegal deal making, people got upset, and got them out!

1)Hereditary rule is an effective, means for choosing a well qualified leader with the best interests in his or her country in mind. I disagree with this rule because if the ruler was like Nero and was crazy, then his son probably would be too. There is a small chance that the son would be a good ruler, but it is very small. If the ruler was a good person like Augustus and was wise and just, the son might be jealous of all the attention that went to his father and not him, so he would be a crazy ruler.
ReplyDeleteAn example I made up is: What if I was Todd, and my dad was Bob, and my father was kind and just. I am a pyromaniac and am obsessed with violence, so when my father is assassinated, I automatically become ruler with no experience at all and I practically desroy the empire. If that happened in every empire, the entire world would be corrupt.
7a14
1) I disagreed with Hereditary rule. Hereditary is not the best thing for a country because if their father was a good leader that doesn't mean they will be.2) Take Nero and Claudius for example Claudius was a good leader on the other hand Nero caused Rome's downfall because it is rumored that Nero started the fire that burned for six days and seven nights.3)A made up example is that what if we had hereditary rule when John F. Kennedy was shot his son which was very young would then take over and he barely is into school and would be taking over the country and wouldn't even now a thing about politics or how to run the country.

Q#1) "When a leader is cruel, incompetent, unfair, or disloyal to the people s/he is leading it is acceptable to forcibly remove the person from office by whatever means necessary." I agree whith this statement.
ReplyDeleteQ#2) I agree with this statement because I think if a tyrant was leading the Romans they should be able to remover him from power or kill him. The phrase, "Kill one, Save many," is a philosophy I believe in.
Q#3) An example of this philosophy is when the U.S. and U.N recently invaded Iraq and captured Sadam Hussain, a cruel tyrant dictator. When he was captured he was hung and killed. The Iraquis did this because he killed many of their people and was a very cruel leader. This is a recent example that illustrates this philosophy, "Kill one, Save many."

1.Hereditary rule is an effective means for choosing a well qualified leader withe the best intrests of his/her country in mind.
ReplyDelete2.I dissagree with this statement because if a leader is great and always does what is best for his/her country it does not mean a relative is the same way.
3.for example: if the presedent of the United States died or resigned making his son or daughter president is not always the best choice for the country. He/she could be planning to do something terrible or be just plain cruel.

1 When in a position of great power, it is sometimes necessary to make personal sacrifices, even if they are extremely painful on a personal level. I disagree with this statement.
ReplyDelete2 I disagree with this statement because, for example, your mom died and you have a meeting with the President about technology. The meeting was scheduled for the 21st of October and the funeral was scheduled the same day. I would go to the funeral because my family alaways come first. You might lose your job working for the President, but you will never lose your family. Family always comes first, that's the golden rule.
3 One time my friend, missed work to go to the hospital to see his dying Dad. He was fired for missing work. However, his Dad said "I love you" for the first time. This is important because it made my friend happy for the rest of his life. Plus, he was able to get a another job. 7B05
1. Hereditary rule is an effective means for choosing a well qualified leader with the best interests of his/her country in mind. I agree with Hereditary rule.
ReplyDelete2. I agree because most of the time people turnout to be like their parents, so the kids would probably be like his/her parents.
3. Well, like I said, most people turn out to be like there parents, so if the ruler was good the Ruler's son/daughter would be the same. Claudius was a good leader; he expanded Rome then his stepson took over after his unfortunate death. Nero, Claudius's stepson, took the thrown and he started out with a good riegn over Rome.

#[1,2] When a leader is cruel, incompetent, unfair,or disloyal, you should definatly kick them out because if he/she was doing a bad job people will not be doing there job and it would become crazy. Also you should take a vote in a certain area or place. If your not a good leader you shouldn't be killed you should just become a slave. #3] If my friend was a terrible ruler and everyone hated him and he did nothing just wanted to be in control and yell at people. I would try to get him sent down to be a slave and see how he likes it. 7b15
ReplyDelete1. "Herediterey rule is an effective means for choosing a well qualified leader with the best interest in his/her country in mind."
ReplyDelete2. I disagree with this statement. If an heir is mentally ill or messed up in his/her head, that person is not fit to rule an empire. They should elect an individual for the position rather than HOPE a son will care for their empire.
3. As an example, Nero took control after his step-father Claudius was murdered by his own wife, Nero's mother. As emperor Nero killed innocent people for no reason. He was messed up in his head and wasn't a good leader at all. He was said to have started the great fire which destroyed most of Rome but succesfully blamed the Christians for it.

1) When a leader is chosen to rule for life, he/she should trust no one because of the vast amount of absolute power that comes with the leadership role. I agree.
ReplyDelete2) I agree with this statement because people could be nice to you, then all of a sudden kill you because they didn't want you ruling for life.
3) An example of why you should trust no one is because someone, even your wife or husband could kill you. Anyone could pretend to be your best friend, but then if you make one bad decision, they could try to kill you. If you make a bad choice, people might kill you because if you rule for life, they wouldn't want you around to ruin the country anymore than you already did. They would have to kill you so that you weren't ruler anymore.

"I believe Hereditory ruling is very horrible because the son of a great king could be power hngry and just wants to conquer and kill."
ReplyDeleteIf someone is a great king and his son is just power hungry than that is not good for any country. On the other hand there are many people out in the country who are ready and willing to be a good leader.
Fabio is one of the greatest leaders of all time and conqured land unheard of , but his so on the other hand is very lazy and does not want to be king but has no choice. What will the country do now?

I disagree with the hereditary rule because if a ruler is a wonderful ruler and had two kids and one had a mental dsorder then the other one would have to be ruler. Well what if the other one is evil then he would be the ruler of a rich, successful country then he might use the money for himself and the empire would fall. If something similar happened to every country then our world would be hopeless and what it is today.
ReplyDelete1. An example that could have happened is what if Hilter became a emperor and didn't die and had kids. His kids could have admired their father and done exactly what he did. That wouldn't be good.
2. What if President Obama's children had no interest in beig president and the U.S. had the hereditary rule. Obama's kids could purposefully destroy our country because they didn't want to be president so that way they would be thrown out of office.
3. Another example is maybe someone is a good leader and has a kid. He could teach his kid what to do and what not to do but the kid could just pretend to want to be leader and become leader. At the beginning he could pretend to be a very good leader and fool the citizens. He could then use the country's money for himself and no one would suspect it was him using the money.

1)When a leader is cruel, incompetent, unfair, or disloyal to the people s/he is leading, it is acceptable to forcibly remove the person from office by whatever means necessary.
ReplyDelete2) I agree with this statement because if you have someone in office that is not doing their job you have to get them out of office. I disagree with the any means necessary because if they are doing wrong you shouldn't kill them you should just fire them.
3) When Nero was ruling their was a person in office who was making people go to jail for no reason. Nero then found out and then fired him from office.

ReplyDelete2)I this rule should be followed because being a ruler in the first place has big responcibilities and other people depend on you.
3)If the president has to sacrifice going for his Monday morning message to go to a meetingthat has to be okay if other people are depending on him.
oops forgot to sign my name mine is the one about the president an the message.
