ReplyDelete2. It is known that 33 people were rescued and that the standoff was between militant and government forces. Also, the attack that started the standoff claimed the lives of six guards and five gunmen.
3. I think that the Taliban has something against the Pakistani base. Maybe the base has attacked their territory in the past.
4. I think the award was given prematurely, and that Obama does not deserve it yet. He probably should have gotten it later.
5. If I had to choose a Nobel Peace Prize winner, I would chose someone who had done some amzing thing and was still looking to work hard for the good of the world. I would choose a person like this because they had actually done something to make the world better, and they would still do more to help everyone.
6. This space station has cost the U.S. 44 billion dollars, although some positive effects are that it has made cures for certain diseases possible. It also maakes it easier to grow bacteria, which helps with vaccines.
7. I think the IIS's benefits are well worth the cost because it could very easily save millions of lives by finding vaccines for horrible diseases.
8. I think you might, in a weightless environment, be able to find the thrust a rocket will have with no gravity to hold it back.

1. A reason a lawmaker would choose to go on a political news program is to get a lot of publicity and to share their ideas. A lawmaker might have a great influence when going on a political news program because he/she probably has respect from the public and they would listen to the lawmaker's ideas.
ReplyDelete2. The details about the 22 hour hostage standoff are that it started on Saturday, 6 guards and 5 gunmen died, and the people in the buliding held 39 hostages.

4.I was surprised that the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Barak Obama, but after I thought about I realized that he deserved it.
5. I would judge people for the Nobel Peace Prize by what they have done over what I think they will do because you can never be sure what someone is going to do in the future but you do know what they did in the past.
6. The space station has cost the U.S. 44 billion dollars. Some of the beneficial outcomes of the program are the scientists could find a cure for many of the diseases we have today in the space station.
7. I don't think the space station is worth the cost because the U.S. could have used that money for research on earth, and the space station might not be used.
8. Bacteria can grow faster in a weightless environment, so if you were trying to find a cure for cancer, you would be able to see more of the bacteria.

1. I believe a lawmaker would want to go on t.v. because a lot of people watch news programs and more people would listen. I think it would help more people understand the law he or she was trying to pass, and then they could say they liked it or didn't like it.
ReplyDelete2. We know that the Taliban was responsible and it happened on Saturday. This happened at Raul Pindi and 6 guards and 5 gunman were killed. They took dozens of people hostage and threatened to blow up the building.
3. I believe they would want to do this because the outpost may have had battle plans and they might have wanted publicity to show they were still strong.
4. I don't think Barack Obama deserved the award because he has just talked about stuff and not done anything. He also said it was a call to action, but that was what the election was.
5. I would say the person would have to be a great leader, hasn't killed anyone, and is thinking of the greater good for the world. I would give an equal amount of weight to what he has done and will do. I say this because we can't base everything on what he has done but we also can't base it on what he will do because we don't know if he will do anything.
6. It has cost the US 44 billion dollars and still counting. Some benefits are we can make vaccines way quicker in space than on earth.
7. I believe so because we can always print out more money but the vaccines will help save lives.
8. Maybe if you are trying out a vaccine the germs and bacteria won't be on there, they will just float away. 7b13
1. The lawmakers might choose to appear on political news programs because it could get them more publicity and supporters. Some people might have different opinions and the lawmakers could alter that persons opinion.
ReplyDelete2. Details known are that it started on Saturday, attack on army post, dozens held hostage, and threatened to blow the building.
3. They didn't like what the army was doing.
4. I don't think that it was right to give it to Obama because he hasn't really done anything yet.
5. I would look at what they have done and what effect it had. I would give it for his/her past accomplishments because who knows how his/her future achievements turns out.
6. $44,000,000,000. They're ready to do world class science.
7. No, because they really haven't done that much to make any progress in exploring other planets.
8. I can't think of any experiment that might benefit from being conducted in a weightless environment.

1. In your opinion: What are some reasons why a lawmaker would choose to appear on a political news program? What impact, if any, might a lawmaker's appearance on this type of program have on supporters and opponents of the issues that he or she may discuss? If a lawmaker appears on a news program they want to have supporters for their campaign. They also want to speak of their lawmaking choise.
ReplyDeleteWhat details are known about a 22-hour hostage standoff at a military base in Pakistan? They found all of the hostages safe. Also they took the leader of the crime to jail.
3.Why do you think that the Taliban would want to attack a Pakistani military facility? They did this because they wanted to show that Taliban is a strong country. Aso they wanted to cause some trouble with them.
4.What is your opinion of the Nobel Peace Prize being awarded to President Barack Obama? I think he should have not recived the Nobel Peace Prize. I think this because there were many other people who could have won it.
5. What criteria would you use for selecting a Nobel Peace Prize recipient? Would you give more weight to a nominee's past accomplishments, or to his or her potential for future achievement? Explain your rationale. For the Nobel Peace Prize I would have looked at the persons achivements of his or her last year. I would use a nominee's past accomplishments because you will have your nominee's facts right. You will not tell people something you will do in the future because you don't know if they will do that something in the future. This is how your nominee can win the Nobel Peace Prize.
6.According to the program: How much has the international space station program cost the United States? What are some of the beneficial outcomes of the program? They have spent 44 billion dollars on this program. If this program is seccessful, they could find the cure for many sicknesses in the world.
7.In your opinion, are the ISS program's benefits worth the costs? Why or why not? I think this program is worth the costs. I think this because if you found the cure for many sicknesses, you could save many lives.
8.Can you think of an experiment that might benefit from being conducted in a weightless environment? First, throw a baseball on land and see how far it goes. Then, go to space and throw a baseball, you will see the difference in a matter of seconds! 7B29
1. Some reasons why a lawmaker would choose to appear on a political news program because they would get more popularity and more supporters. Also, they could discuss differences in different people's discions.
ReplyDelete2.What details are known about a 22-hour hostage standoff at a military base in Pakistan? 39 people were hostages and 6 guards and 5 gunmen lost their lives.
3.Why do you think that the Taliban would want to attack a Pakistani military facility?
They wanted publicity and to show they were strong
4.What is your opinion of the Nobel Peace Prize being awarded to President Barack Obama?
I think he earned it. Obama is a great president and has done many things and will do plenty more for our country, Plus, he is donating the money he recieved from the Nobel Peace Prize to charity!
5. What criteria would you use for selecting a Nobel Peace Prize recipient? Would you give more weight to a nominee's past accomplishments, or to his or her potential for future achievement? Explain your rationale.
My criteria is they have to EARN it. Honest, courageous and strong about charity and love for people.
I think I would give a 50/50 for their past achievements and future ones. They both matter on what is going to happen in the future.
6.According to the program: How much has the international space station program cost the United States? What are some of the beneficial outcomes of the program?
They have spent over 40 billion dollars. Some beneficial outcomes are making world science and finding vaccines to cure deadly sicknesses.
7.In your opinion, are the ISS program's benefits worth the costs? Why or why not?
I think it is worth the cost because it will save some people's lives. That is more important than the cost. Saving lives of others even with a very high price, is worth it.
8.Can you think of an experiment that might benefit from being conducted in a weightless environment? I think a good experiment would be is to see how far someone could go from one end to another in eEarth, then try it in space and solve the calculations on how much faster we would be with gravity.

1. I think a lawmaker might want to appear on a local t.v program to gain popularity and maybe get their ideas to more people. The impact could alter people's opinions because they could have heard just another person's opinion.
ReplyDelete2. It is known that there were 39 people held hostage, 5 gunmen and 6 gaurds were killed, the holders of the hostages threatened to blow up the building, and the leader of the holders was taken to jail.
3. The Taliban wanted to show what they could do and maybe get attention.
4. My opinion on President Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize is that if he received it at all the awarders should have waited until he had actually done something, but I guess they gave him credit for trying.
5. I would use the person's past accomplishment's because there is no saying what he/she will do in the future.
6 According to the program the space station has cost the United States 44 billion dollars and counting. The benificial outcome of this is that they found vaccines for sicknesses.
7. I think that the program is worth the cost because finding cures for sickness and saving people is always worth the work.
8. An experiment that could benifit from being in a weightless environment is that you could try to hit something, how much more force it wauld take in space than on earth.

1. A lawmaker would choose to appear on a political news program so they can inform citizens why they create certain laws and they can show people their perspective on the country they live in and its regulations. A lawmaker would represent the legislative branch of the U.S.A. and set a good reputation for the lawmakers. Many people watch television, so a lawmaker realizes that they might obtain good publicity and more people may follow laws they make if the viewers understand the full idea of the specific law. The people who support this lawmaker will follow them even more and the people who dislike them will either change their opinion or still disapprove this lawmaker.
ReplyDelete2. On Saturday, October 10, 2009, a 22-hour standoff between Pakistani militant and government forces occurred. An attack on an army post killed six guards and five gunmen. Pakistani officials were in communication with the militants during the situation. On Sunday, October 11, 2009, forces rescued 39 hostages and captured the militants who appeared to be Taliban.
3. The Talibans would attack a Pakistani military facility to steal weapons and to show that they have power and that the Pakistan government cannot save their people. I think this attack was centered around authority.
4. Although there hasn't been much done since President Obama has been in office, I think it was a good choice to give him the Nobel Peace Prize because he is trying very hard to create a peaceful world. Obama is trying to bind countries together so the people of the world will be content and nonviolent. I think this award will give President Obama a boost of confidence and therefore he will make an even bigger impact and set a good example.
5. I would choose someone based on how aware they are of their countries' problems, how willing and open they are to changing the difficulty, and if they are doing this act for peace instead of popularity. I would balance my judging scale from past and future accomplishment, but probably mainly future accomplishments. I would decide who the winner is mostly based on future accomplishments because when the problem is in the present, you must plan out how you will spread the peace and not what the person did before this situation happened.
6. The space station has cost the U.S. 44 billion dollars since 1998. The U.S.A. can conduct weightless experiments and from there find cures for many horrible diseases. Bacteria grows faster in a no gravity condition, so many vaccines can be made in space rather than on earth.
7. I don't think these benefits are worth the cost because most of the money used for the space station is obtained from taxpayers and if we end up abandoning the space station and not finding any cures, many citizens will be furious. I am not saying that we will not find any cures at all, but there is a strong possibility that we won't.
8. One experiment is bringing a plant seed, soil, and water into space and then planting the seed and growing the plant and in the end, you could observe the differences of the plant growth in space with no gravity and on earth with gravity.

1. I think law makers appear on news programs for publicity and to tell their people what laws are being and have been passed. i think that if a news show has a blog or a number to text comments to by viewers that the amount of positive and negative votes will change because of the different opinions of viewers.
ReplyDelete2. That people held other people hostage for 22 hours and that there was communication between the people holding hostage and the police during hostage.
3. I think that they would want to attack and threaten to blow up Pakistani because maybe there is a rivalry between Pakistani people and Talbin people. After they were held hostage and Pakistani forces released a rescue mission which freed 29 hostages.
4. I think that it was nice to award the Nobel Peace Prize to Barack Obama because he is the new president but I don't think the world gave him enough time to deserve winning that award. I am not saying he didn't deserve it I am just saying that he has only been president for 10 months not enough time to really show that he deserved it yet.
5. The criteria I would use would be very specific. It would have to be something as big as helping people or saving lives for me to be wanting to really award this person the prize and know that they truly deserved it. I would care more about his or her past accomplisments more than future doings because people say they are going to do things and then they don't end up carrying out their plan.
6. The United States has spent over 44 billion dollars on the Space Station Program. The idea of spending all this money is to use it for world class science projects.
7. I don't know if it is worth the cost or not because I don't know that much about it. I don't think it is worth the cost because it obviously hasn't doesn't anything big enough for me to hear about. Except for putting people on the moon.
8. Maybe if you had really heavy and big objects that you needed to experiment with it would be easier to move things around in space.
7a21
1If a lawmaker were to appear on a political news program they would do that so that people can see why they feel the way they would feel about the new law he/she would like to create. I think the impact on the audiance would be sympathy because they would try to see from the lawmaker's perspective.
ReplyDelete2We know that all the people/hostages were saved and the person who captured them was sent off to prison/taken away.
3I the person would want to attack this place/Pakistani facility because he would want to weaken the military point first so that the most powerfull people were "out of the way".
4I think President Obama is great and all, but he makes commitments and doesn't really do anything after that.
5I would choose someone who has helped a lot of people and is an awesome role model for America. I would think of the things they have done in the past more because that is something that HAS been done instead of a PROMISE to be done.
6The Space Station has costed us 44BILLION DOLLARS! The benificial things to this program are the vacination that can be produced faster than on Earth.
7I do think this is a benifit although the cost is an overwhelming one. If it was at least 1 BILLION I would be okay with this.
8If you tried to eat food on the Moon... is this hard or easy?

1. I think a lawmaker would go on television to explain the law and why it was made. Also, they might be trying to get more publicity. The lawmaker could impact their opponents and supporters' opinions of the law.
ReplyDelete2. There were 39 hostages and the Taliban were behind it and threatened to blow up the building were the soilders were.
3. Maybe the Taliban wanted to cut back the number of soilders little by little until there aren't many left. another reason is they justed wanted to create problems.
4. In my opinion, I think that President Obama is a good president but I don't think he should have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. I think this because he hasn't done anything out of the ordinary that is amazing.
5. I would base giving someone the Nobel peace Prize on there past achivements beacuse it would be 100% true. People can never be sure what exactly they are going to do bacuse things can unexpectedly come up and impact what they are going to do.
6. The USA spent 44 billion dollars on the ISS. Some beneficial outcomes of the program is that they can create vaccines for many diseases in less time then on Earth.
7.I think the program is worth it beacuse if you can make vaccines and help sick people cure, then you can change a lot of people's lives if a positive way.
8.You can see the difference of how high you can jump in the air. Or see the difference of your weight. It won't make an impact of the world but it sure will be interesting.
7A15
1) It would be good for a person who contributes to the making of laws, to give a public appearance on a news channel or to give a speech. This is because many people would watch the channel or listen to the speech, and therefore, they would hear whatever the 'law-maker' has to say. For instance, if he was speaking about his support for gay marriage, then the people listening may be influenced to see things from his point of view. This would mean that more people would agree with gay marriage and want a law passed supporting it. Then, when he made it a law, he would have the help and support of those people.
ReplyDelete2) Here is what is known about the 22 hour hostage standoff that happened this Saturday:
>It lasted almost an entire day in Pakistan.
>The militants killed six guards and five gunmen, took dozens of people hostage, and threatened to blow up a building.
>A rescue mission made on Sunday morning brought thirty-nine hostages to safety.
>Throughout the entire duration of the standoff, the Pakistani officials were in communication with the militants.
>The Telebon said it was responsible for the attack.
3) I think that the Taliban would want to attack a Pakistani military facility because they very strongly dislike the United States, and Pakistan is an alli of the US.
4) I understand how many people may think that President Obama has not done anything to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. However he is trying to bring peace to our world by not starting wars over oil, and many other things. Not only this, but there is something he has already accomplished. He has become the first African-American president. He has brought hope to many American's hearts. Also, though he has not yet brought peace to America, he has the potentail.
5) I would base it mainly on the person's potential for future acheivment, but I would also account for any past accomplishments the person had made. I would do this because if they had been sucessfull before, this would actuallty show potential for doing great things in the future. This is my opinion because to me, it is more important what the future will bring then what we have gone through and acheived in the past.
6+7) 44 billion dollars is the price that the program says the space station has already cost the US. The benifits of this program are not certain, but they would be very helpful. Some of these benefits are cures to illnesses like Parkinsons and _. I personally know someone who has Parkinsons, so I find this particular benifit very worth while. I also think they are worth the effort because a large number of people suffer from one of the deseases they are looking to cure.
8)An experiment that might benefit from being made in a weightless environment is anything that is made with bacteria because bacteria forms faster in a weightless environment.

1.A lawmaker would choose to go on a political news program because he wants to show all people what laws he wants, publicity. The lawmaker might make people change their mind on the way they think about something.
ReplyDelete2. 39 hostages were freed and the culprit was caught.
3. The Taliban either didn't like the leader or they wanted money.
4. People don't think Obama should get the award, because he only talked about what he is going to do not what he did.
5. I would say that a person would get the peace prize by saving people from a war or stopping someonewho is anational killer. If someone killed a person in the past, but then saved the president or something, I would award them the prize.
6.44,000,000,000 billion dollars has been spent on the space station. This program is trying to find cures for dieases like al timers.
7. The ISS program's benefits is worth the cost, because if we can find cures for common dieases, they could find a cure for cancer.
8. A labratory that floats in air, could be able to find all of the cures. It would help for the weightlessness.
7A03
1. A lawmaker would want to appear on tv for publicity. They would want the people to think that they are on their side, and that they care for the people. The impact might be that the people trust he/she more now.
ReplyDelete2. That the Pakistanian government was in contact with the militants the entire time. Another fact is that 33 people were rescued.
3. The Taliban might think that the government is being unfair. Or the government is not doing what the Taliban want.
4. I believe that the prize was awarded to Obama's promises, not his actions. They should wait to see if Obama carries through with his promises.
5. I would judge what that person has done for the world. Has he/she actually achieved better peace? I would defiantly base my selection on what that person has already done. Anyone can make promises about peace. But the award is for someone who already has made a difference.
6. The program has cost the US 44 billion dollars.
7. I do not believe that the benefits are worth this. Maybe if the ISS was helping find a cure for cancer or something, it would be worth it.
8. It would be a good place to test products that help the disabled walk. If it doesn't work, the person they are testing on will not fall and get hurt.
7a06
1. A lawmaker would go on public television. He or she might go on public television because he or she might change peoples minds or help them decide on a law trying to be passed. They also might go on so more people will hear them.
ReplyDelete2. It was known that 39 people were held hostage and rescued. They said hat it lasted about a day in Pakistan and the person who was in power was captured.
3. The Talibans would attack Pakistan government so they would be out of the way to get to the Americans.
4. I don't believe that he has bean in office long enough to deserve the prize. I believe that he has done some great things but not to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.
5. My criteria for a recipient is that he or she has done something significant in the world that all will benefit from. I would give more weight to a recipient that has done something in the past because I know what they are capable of and I have seen what they have done.
6. The program has cost the US 44 billion dollars on the space station that is trying to find vaccines that are quicker to make in space than on the earth.
7. Yes it is a benefit to us to find vaccines. One of the vaccines that benefits us is for Parkinsons disease which is a disease that is devastating many of Americans.
8. You can see in a weightless environment what effects positive or negative effects it could do to your joints.

Media Literacy Question of the Day
ReplyDelete1. I think a lawmaker would appear on a political news program because they want to get their point across. They know that people listen more to them as a high level “lawmaker” than other lower level politicians or common people expressing their opinions. Maybe they want to be recognized more by being on television. They might be a specialist on the topic, and know a lot more than everyone else on that topic. Reasons why lawmakers are on news programs, I believe, are that some people respect the lawmaker’s opinions more than just regular people because they have experience in government. They have more authority than other people that are not in the government system.
Attack in Pakistan
2. They know that it all started on Saturday. Six guards and five gunmen were killed. The militants took over the army head quarters. They held dozens of people hostage and threatened to blow up the building. That started the twenty-two hour standoff. Pakistani officials said that they were in communication with the militants throughout the act. On Sunday morning the situation was over. Then they freed the hostages. Also, the militant in charge got captured. That is all they know.
3. I think the Taliban would attack because they might be angry at the military. They might also be on drugs that make them crazy or they are just angry people and chose the Pakistanis to take it out on. They want to run Pakistan, but the Pakistanis don’t want to give their country to the Taliban.
Peace Prize Awarded
4. My opinion is that I don’t really think President Barack Obama deserves the Nobel Peace Prize yet. He hasn’t really done that much for peace in the world, since he has only been the President for a short time. I know he will do a lot of peace making later, but he doesn’t deserve it until he does that. He is a good, strong, peaceful man, but he needs to earn that title.
5. My criteria would be that he or she would have to be making or made a big difference in peace in the world, for more than one year. He or she would have to be committed to making peace in the world and be proud of what they have done. They have to earn the prize by doing something big for peace in the world, like helping stop the wars. Their life should be based on making peace. I think I would give fifty percent weight to the past, and fifty percent weight to the future peace accomplishments for each candidate. I would want it to be even because I think they are both equally important. It is very important what he or she has done in the past because that will effect the future of what he or she is going to do.
Space Station's Future
6. The international space station program has cost the United States forty-four BILLION dollars. The ISS is now ready to do world-class science. Some of the benefits are to help cure diseases. Another benefit is that we can learn more about our solar system, with the ISS exploring it. We can find out more about the science of space
7. No, I do not think the benefits are worth the money. I don’t think they are useful because they haven’t gotten very far, and it costs a lot of money to keep the ISS in space. We are going to run out of money before they discover anything, or at least enough to justify the expenses.
8. An experiment could be to grow plants in a weightless environment. You could see if the plant would grow or die, get bigger or get smaller than it does on Earth. You could also do a lot of other experiments, like with soil. If the plants got bigger in space it would give more food and would stop famine. Plants give off oxygen so maybe if the space shuttle was filled with plants they would have more oxygen.

[1] A lawmaker would choose to be on a political news program because he might become more popular, he would make the show more serious, and he would probably be well known, so people could relate to him better.
ReplyDelete[2] It started Sat. 10th with an attack on an army base in Raul Hindi. 5 gunman and 6 guards were killed during the assault. Militants then took control of the headquarters and threatened to blow up the building. The whole thing lasted almost a whole day and the Pakistani officials said that they were in contact with the militants the whole time. Pakistani officials saved a total of 39 hostages.
[3] I think that the Taliban would attack a Pakistani military facility because that would show that they are in charge.
[4] I think that it shouldn’t be given to him because he doesn’t really act on what he says. Also, he is too far ahead of himself.
[5] I would give more weight to his/her past accomplishments because then you definitely know if you are choosing the right or wrong person. But if you choose to do his/her potential achievements then you wouldn’t know if something could change or not.
[6] The international space station has cost us 44 BILLION DOLLARS. Some beneficial outcomes are that we could find a miracle cure for some disease or sickness.
[7] Yes, the ISS’s funds are worth it to probably save the lives of hundreds of people.
[8] I can think of a swine flu vaccine, which would help many people.

1.)I think one reason why lawmakers appear on TV is because they want to get more supporters and publicity. If they are on TV where the entire world could see them, they would be pretty popular. They impact their supporters by making inspiring speeches and getting a good reputation from it.
ReplyDelete2.) There aren't lots of details known on the subject, but we know that it happened this Saturday, there were 39 hostages, and that 6 guards and 5 gunmen were lost.
3.) I don't really think there was a method to their madness, but maybe they were trying to prove that they are powerful and want to be in charge. Another reason could be that they had something against Pakistan and they wanted to get revenge.
4.) I think it was a little strange that Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize because he is so early in his career, and he has made lots of great promises but hasn't fulfilled them.
5.)I think that to be a Nobel Prize recipient you should prove you can be a good leader and are working for the good of the country, not yourself. I think we should give the prize to someone who has made great accomplishments in the past, because we know that person can succeed.
6.)The cost of the space station was 44 billion dollars, and it is beneficial because there are many vaccines made in space, ao there could be a cure found for any disease.
7.)I think it is and isn't worth the costs. It is worth it bcause it can help many people be disease-free, and we could save lives. On the other hand, they might just abandon it after 2015, so that would be an enormous waste of perfectly good money and lots of time.
8.) An experiment that might be useful is: kick a soccer ball as far as you can at a park. then, do it in space and compare the results.

Q#1) A lawmaker might appear on T.V. to change the way people think about something and make them think like him or her and make the people trust him and listen to him/her.
ReplyDeleteQ#2) The attack on a military post in Pakistan started on Saturday. During the attack a resuce group rescued 39 people.
Q#3) I think Taliban might want to attack a Pakistan millitary facinity because mabye Pakistan might have attacked them in the past or have attempted to attck him.
Q#4) I dont think Barak Obama deserved the prize yet because he did not do that much to the U.S. yet but he says he will.
Q#5) For somenone to get the Nobel Peace Prize i would recommend that the people it fair, honest , hardworking and that he will do something to change the United States.
Q#6) The U.S. spent 44 billion dollars on the space station. Some of the benifits of the space station would be that they will find cures for certain disease.
Q#7) I think the money spent on the ISS is worth the pay becuase it can find new cures to save the lives of many if they have some type of disease or sickness.
Q#8) The expirement could benifit us because if we had a hospital or something up there in space and the people were very slow, since they are in space they will weigh less and be able to move faster.

1.One reason a lawmaker would appear on a political news program because they would want to share their ideas to the viewers. In doing this, you can share you law with the viewers and see if their law will get supporters or opponents. An advantage lawmakers have when they appear on a program like this is when going on this show they will have a lot of publicity because of their appearance on this show.
ReplyDelete2.We know there was a 22- hour hostage situation and the hostages are alive. We also know that who captured them in now captured.
3.I think the Taliban would want to attack the Pakistani military facility because they would want to eliminate the military so they would not have any wars.
4.I think President Barack Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize because he is an ideal leader. He loves this country and every one of us.
5.The criteria I would use is if they are the ideal leader and they love the country. They are caring and are firm but fair to use and the nation.
6.The space station is worth 44 million. They are using this to help find a cure for many sickening diseases.
7.I don’t think the ISS program's benefits are worth the cost because if we are going to run out of funds in future years why would we spend that much money to abandon it.
8.An experiment I think that might benefit from being conducted in a weightless environment is a electric microwave, it might sound funny but I think it might help with the engineering with. this project.

1. A lawmaker's apperience on a show might be meant to make the show seem more serious and official. Another reason is the lawmaker might want more popularity and more supporters.
ReplyDelete2. In the 22-hour standoff we no that 5 gunemen and 6 guards had died. There also was 39 people being held hostage in a building that the leader of the holding was threatening to blow up.
3. I think the Taliban would want to attack a pakistanian military facility because they have something aginst them from the past. Another reason might be that the Talibans dislike what the pakistan government is doing.
4. I think Obama shouldn't have been awarded the nobel piece prize because I think he never did anything and in his speeches he never says anything about what hes done all he talks about is what hes going to do.
5. If I had to choose a winner for a nobel piece prize I would pick someone who had done something outstanding and who wasn't just done with that one great thing but still planned to do more great things.
6. The united states has spent 44 billion dollars on the space station program. Some benifits from this program are finding some cures for dozens of diseases.
7. I think its really good to have cures for diseases ,but I think 44 billion dollars is a ripeoff just for some cures.
8. If you can hit a golf ball 250 feet in a golf range in Earth and if you hit a golf ball in a wieghtless environment you will see the difference right when u hit it.

1.) A lawmakers apperance on a show can be meant to make the show seem more serious and to let the public watch the certain shows. Also, the lawmaker may want the people to know about the law and to make them think about it.
ReplyDelete2.) There were thirty- nine hostages and Taliban was the one who captured them, soon after Taliban was captured and taken away.
3.) Taliban would want to attack a military facility because they wanted to take revenge or kill the soldiers to decrease the army.
4.) I think that the Nobel Peace Price being awarded to Obama filled my head with a lot of questions, first of all my dad completley hates him and second of all most people think the pride of being the first African American president is a good thing, but I wonder... what has Obama done to earn the Nobel Peace price?
5.) If I had to chose a nobel peace price winner I would pick someone who has actually done something to earn the nobel peace price like the pope.
6.)The program has cost the United States 44,000,000,000 dollars.
7.) I think it a good cause because it helps people get vaccines and cure people.
8.) A labratory that floats would be a good idea for finding cures.
1) A law maker would want to explain the laws that he wants to be passed on get people on his/her side to mabey change their mind on a law and have people trust them.
ReplyDelete2) Some details that we know are that the army wants more people over there fighting and McCain disagrees with that statement, the Pakistani government and militants were in contact the whole time and also that 33 people were rescued.
3) I think they attacked because there is a strong dislike between them and they wanted to destroy them.
4) I didn't think he should have gotten it because he didn't really do anything except talk about what he was going to do and he hasn't done it yet and I'm not even sure he's going to even do it and no one except him know for sure if he's going to do it but him.
5) I would've given more weight on what he did not his intentions of the future because what if he doesn't do it?
6) It cost them 44 billion dollars and they could potentially create a flu vaccine.
7) Not really because for a flu vaccine it's not as important as another MAJOR illness, but it was for something as huge as cancer it might be worth it.
8) mabey instead of doing it in outer-space you could possibly do it in an anti-gravity chamber.

1. A lawmaker would choose to appear on a political news program so they can educate people about a bill. The politician would tell the good or bad, depending on your opinion, about the bill.
ReplyDelete2. The 22-hour hostage standoff at a military base in Pakistan started on Saturday, October 10 when the terrorists threatened to blow up buildings and kill people. Some people died in the standoff.
3. The terrorists wanted to sabotage the military in Pakistan.
4. I think the Nobel Peace Prize should have been awarded to another candidate, like the group the Handicap International and Cluster Munition Coalition who clean up landmines and protect people, rather than President Obama because he only gave speeches for peace and didn’t really do anything active for it.
5. My criteria for nominees would be to see what that nominee has done to promote peace. I think actions are more important than speeches because just by saying something doesn’t always mean that something was done for peace.
6. The International Space Program has cost the United States $44 billion. The program is important because the scientists can create vaccines faster than on earth because of a lack of gravity.
7. I think the ISS’s benefits are worth the costs because less people suffer since we can get vaccines for horrible diseases sooner in space.
8. I can’t think of an experiment that might benefit from being conducted in a weightless environment.

1) A lawmaker going on a political talk show would help them because they could state their opinion about something. Other people could agree with their opinion and watch the show more. If a lawmaker says that a political opponent broke a law they could explain it, people who watch the show might believe them and vote for them.
ReplyDelete2) The Taliban and the Pakistani Government had a stand off at an army post in Raul Pindi, Pakistan last Saturday that lasted 22 hours. Six guards and five Taliban gunmen were killed in the terrorist attack. The Taliban held dozens of hostages and threatened to blow up the building. The government initiated a plan that would help rescue the hostages. The Pakistanis rescued 39 hostages in the rescue.
3) The Taliban would want to capture an army post because they could steal weapons that would help them supply their terrorist group. They also could get vehicles that were at the site to help them supply their group with vehicles. They also want to scare the Government and population, so by capturing an army post they did that.
4) I don't think President Obama deserved the award because he hasn't done anything to deserve the award. The only reason he got the award is because he is the first African-American president.
5) A person who can win the Nobel Peace Prize should have many past accomplishments that support why they are getting the award. They should have sacrificed most of their life to their work and discoveries. They have been either a genius or been an amazing social worker to derserve it. It doesn't matter if you have future potenial because if you don't act on it then you don't deserve the award.
6) The ISS has cost the U.S. a total of 44 billion dollars so far. The beneficial outcomes are that some experiments will be easier in space than on Earth. They will be able to study other planets and stars easier. Spacecraft will also be able to refuel at the space station, which will be much easier than going back to Earth.
7) I don't think the benefits are good enough to be spending that much money on. In this bad economy the Government can't just go spend 44 billion dollars on space research. That money could have gone to cutting taxes and helping people pay off their morgage so they can keep their home.
8) They could experiment with zero gravity which would help them understand how to turn off gravity in the future, which could prove to be useful. 7A17
#1. A layer might make an appearance on T.V. to gain peoples trust so that if anyone needs a layer they will pick them. They also might be advertising for the company they work for,for publicity.
ReplyDelete#2. What we know about the 22 hour hostage is...
There were a total of 39 hostages,
The Taliban were behind the whole thing,
and they threatened to blow up a building.
#3. The Taliban might have attacked because the do NOT like the U.S. at all.
#4. I f I were to vote he is the one I would vote for so I am glad it was awarded to him. I like the way Obama handles things because he handles them without worry he just says make it work or I will fix it.
#5. I would base the Nobel Peace Prize winner on their past achievements and their future goals.
For example if a person has an achievements like they made world peace that is someone you would consider but if it is someone like Hittler you would x them out right away.
#6. The space station would cost the U.S.A 44 BILLION dollars. We benefit from it because the people working in the space craft can work on finding vaccines for diseases.
#7. I think the ISS would be helping more if it was a cure for cancer or something a little more important.
#8. An experiment that would help with a weight less environment? Well I cant think or anything really.

1 If a lawmakers apperenece could make a show seem more real and inform different laws to the public that most people don't know about.
ReplyDelete2 Some of the details are that it lasted 22 hours, there were 39 hostages, they threatened to blow up the building and they killed five guards and six gun men.
3 I think they would attack the pakistan people to have more land, money and maybe even power.
4 I think that it is good the Obama is getting an award he has gone through a lot of hard ships and worked hard for this.
5 To judge for who would get the noble peace prize I would see who has been helping out in big ways in the past and future for our countries or other ones.
6 The space station costs 44 billion dollars. Some of the benifits are that they can create medicines faster and there is a slight chance that they may make new medicines that can cure certain dieses.
7 I dont't think it is worth it because we are going to need that money in the future and we are going to keep on finding better and faster cures for medicine.
8 I would see if water would evaporate in space because the sun is different.

#1. I think a law maker would appear on television or the news because it would get more publicity for the law that he/she is trying to pass. The impact that appearing on this kind of news is good because it is helpful to hear what is going on about the president whether you like the president or not.
ReplyDelete#2. This attack started on saturday at a military post. The enemies had many hostages and even threatened to blow up the building. Finally on Sunday morning everying came to a close and 39 hostages were saved.
#3. I think Taliban would want to attack a military facility because it would show their anger and hatred of our military. It would also show their protest against the military.
#4. I do not think Barack Obama should be getting the peace prize because I am not proud of what he has done and I do see much peace he has brought to us.
#5. If I were giving a peace prize to someone I would look at how much effort and respect they have giving to their project and the way they go about things. I would not just look at what they have done right now, but look at what they have done in the past and see who they really are. Recieving a peace prize is not just a small award, but a very important thing. It should be given to someone who has brought good to the world and not destruction.
#6. The space station has cost alot and has been continued for a very long time. Some beneficial things from it have been making vaccines for diseases. They happen quicker in space than on Earth.
#7. I think the Iss programs are worth it because space is very interesting and amazing for those people who get a chance to go into it and also those who study and research it. I think the future is bright for our space people if Obama continues and funds it.
#8. In a weightless environment you could possibly try things involving chemisty. Maybe you could mix together potions and chemicals. It may not be a good thing because your in a rocket but it would still be a intersting experience.

1)A lawmaker might go on television or radio to explain why they made the law and to get more publicity so people are able to make sure people are able to follow and be aware of the law.2)The Pakistan people where in contact the whole time and 33 people were saved after 22 hours of a standoff.3)The Taliban might have been upset with the government and might have wanted to send a message.4)I don't believe that he should get the nobel peace prize because they should give it to someone who is coming up with a vaccine to save peoples lives like the person who came up with the swine flu.5)I would judge on have they saved lives or come up with a new discovery in science.6)44 billion dollars have been spent on the space station.7)It is worth it in that it is helping us learn about how space works. It is not because it really isn't saving lives.8) Experiments with prosthetic limbs would help because they could walk with less pressure on there legs. Also product or experiments that have to do with space.

1 I think law makers go on TV for publicity, they may go on that way if they have somehting important to say, many people will see and hear them. I think they do this that way they have more trust with the public and maybe they actually want to help us instead of getting publicity.
ReplyDelete2 some details about the 22-hour hostage is thatabout 40 people were freed, less then 20 people were killed during the hostage and the people who hostaged them, are being taken to jail.
3 I think the Taliban would want to attack because they want to rule, and they are threatend by Pakistanis. Another reason would be maybe that someone is being unfair and the ZTaliban wants revenge.
4 I think it was amazing to hear that president Obama recieved the nobel peace pprize. I think he really deserveded it. Now I can say, "Someone was given thenobel peace prize when I was young." It just sounds interesting, and I also makes you sound old.
5 I would thank the nominee's and that without them, I probably wouldn't be recieving this award.
6 The U.S. has spent around 44 BILLION dollars on the ISS. a benifiet of the space station is being able to find cures for diseases.
7 I think they should keep up all their hard work because there are many people who have these illnesses, and everyday many people die from them. If they keep it up, they might be able to redoose the number of dying people.
8 I think a place somewhere in the sky would be a good place to the handcaped or disabled because the can walk, not fall, and not get hurt. I think it's every chils dream to float so that might make so handycaped kids really happy.

1.) A lawmaker would want to be on TV so he can tell people why he passed a law so they can see the view from his perspective and, if they didn't like him/her before they were on TV, they might change their mind.
ReplyDelete2.) The details known about the 22 hour hostage standoff at a military base in Pakistan are:
1) 39 people were held hostage
2) 6 guards and 5 gunmen lost their lives.
3.) It started on Saturday
4.) 39 people were rescued.
3.) The Taliban might want to attack a Pakistani military family so they could threaten the rest of the group by keeping some of them hostage, or they could have just wanted revenge for something in the past.
4.) I do think that Barack Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize because he is a very peaceful person. You might say that he really only just said a few speeches, but his actions were very smart. If he had used actions rather than words, he wouldn’t have had the chance to see what the people thought.
5.) To decide who should win the Nobel Peace Prize, a person should have made a change in the world to take a step closer to world peace. The person should not be judged by their money status, and the person should have given their life as a sacrifice to world peace.
6.) The space station costs the United States forty-four billion dollars. The station would make cures fore several diseases.
7.) The ISS program’s benefits could be worth the cost because maybe one of the millions of lives the program could save would turn out to change the world (in a good way) so much that their life would be worth more than 44,000,000,000 dollars. Also, there may be visitors to the lab who would pay to witness no gravity.
8.) In a weightless environment, it would be easier to launch a rocket without gravity pulling back at it. Also, it could help grow a cure for cancer or any other diseases because of bacteria growth.

1. A lawmaker would probably choose to go on political news to get more publicity. I think he would also want to become more popular by wanting to express his ideas to the public.
ReplyDelete2. Detials about the 22 hour standoff at the military base in Pakistan are that the Taliban was responsible, there were 33 people who were held hostage and were rescued, six guards and five gunmen died, and that they threatened to blow up the building.
3. I think the Taliban would want to attack a Pakistinian millitary facility because they despice anyone in league with the U.S. which Pakistan is. I also think they would want to cause confusion and terror to make the people think they were in charge.
4. Yes the fact that President Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize does come as a shock to me because I don't think Obama has help provide peace anywhere I think they gave it to Obama because he SAID he would promote peace.
5. I would base the Nobel Peace Prize on something you have accomplished not something you say you will accomplish. I would base it more on past accomplishments because it shows what they can really do and that there not just all talk.
6. The International Space Station has cost the United States 44 billion dollars and counting. Some of the beneficial outcomes are that they say they may be able to find a cure for parkensense and alstheimeres with all of the scientific equipment being set up.
7. Yes I do think the ISS work is worth the cost because if they follow through with the space station, they will be able to cure many diseases thus saving lives.
8. I think it would be a good idea to test items to help the handicap walk because it cannot fall if there is no weight.

I think that a lawmaker would want to be on a political news program because they want people to follow their way and not somebody elses. Also because they want people to know who they are and what they want.
ReplyDeleteThe details about the 22-hour hostage standoff at a military base in Pakistan are that it lasted the whole day, 6 people died, 33 hostages were freed, and the leader was caught.
I think the Taliban want to attack a Pakistani military facility because they don't think the same ways and have different ideas. They don't like the Pakistani rules. they are enemis and want to rule over them.
My opinion on the nobel peace prize being awarded to president Obama is that I think he deserves it because he worked hard and might even have saved lives.
For selecting a recipient I would see what accomplishments they have done in the the past so I know that they deserve it and if they didn't I would give them a chance to prove themselves.
According to the program the U.S. has spent 44 billion dolllars. Some benefitial outcomes are that if they invent something new they won't have to buy the medicine or equiptment anymore.
No, because there is no way to get 44 billion dollars back even if you create a cure for a disease.
A good experiment would be to create a cure by testing bacteria because what takes a year on Earth to grow is one week in space.

#1 A lawmaker would probably appear on t.v. to obtain publicity. People who have different opinions might change their mind just because of what the lawmaker said.
ReplyDelete#2 Details we know are that there were dozens held hostage, it started on Saturday, there was an attack on an army post, and they threatened to blow up the building with the hostages in it.
#3 I think the Taliban wanted to attack a Pakistani military facility because they didn't like what the people were doing.
#4 I think it is to early to award the peace prize to Obama because he's only been in office for not even a year, so we don't know what he can still do. Maybe if it was awarded a little bit later on it would have been okay.
#5 Some criteria I would use to determine a nominee of the peace prize would be looking at the persons accomplishments in the past, seeing what he/she is capable of doing for everyone in the future, and seeing what the person is doing for us now.
#6 The international space station program has cost the United States about 44 billion dollars and still counting. The beneficial outcome for this is they are finding cures for diseases and other vaccines when up in space because bacteria grows faster up there where it will take about 10 years to grow down here on earth.
#7 I believe the ISS is worth the cause because people are finding vaccines and cures that can help save many peoples lives and you can only find and produce them in space.
#8 An experiment that can maybe be conducted in a weightless environment is finding new cures because bacteria grows faster in space, or a new invention that can help someone tremendously but might cause someone to fall and get hurt during testing on earth. So do it in space because you can't really fall with no gravity.

1. My opinion is that, why a lawmaker would choose to appear on this type of program because maybe they have laws that are reasonable and people will listen to there ideas.
ReplyDelete2. The main details are that 22 hour hostage standoff started on Saturday and six guard and five gunman sadly died.
3. I think they will attack Parkistan because maybe the Pakistani attacked the Taliban before? Possibly, they hat each other for other reasons.
4. I think they deserved it because he did a lot for the country and especially for Pakistan.
5. If I had to choose a Nobel Peace Prize winner I would choose someone who is thoughtful, kind and also did good deeds.
6. The space station cost the U.S. 44 billion dollars. The bright side is that the affects are that there are bacteria in space that will help cure diseases.
7. I think that eh ISS program benefits are good because it will help save a lot of people and will also save some money.
8. This experiment will be good in a weightless environment because if you go up in space we can make a special suit that will help you walk faster on the moon.

1. A lawmaker would choose to appear on a political news program because he or she wants to influence the people, who might be watching this show, to become familiar with the law they are trying to pass. The lawmaker wants his or viewers to side with him or her on the law. The lawmaker wants his people supporting him or her so the law can be passed!
ReplyDelete2. The information we know about the 22-hour hostage standoff at a military base in Pakistan is that the Taliban attacked an army post on Saturday that killed six guards and five gunmen people were held hostage. The Taliban also threatened to blow up the army headquarters. All this devastating mess was taken care of in Sunday and all the hostages were freed. What a horribly sad story.
3. I think the Taliban would want to attack the Pakistan military staff that they are trying to make a point to them. They are letting them know that they are powerful enough to take them over.
4. I think that although he got it very quickly in his career as president, I think deserved to get the Nobel peace prize because he is attempting to clear wars and bring peace and prosperity to the world.
5. I would award the Peace prize to a person who has made great change in the world or has done something to others in peach. I would choose someone who has, in the past, tried to live and serve to make the world a more peaceful place.
6.6. According to the program, the international space station program cost 44 Billion dollars!! Some of the beneficial outcomes of the program are that the scientists will study and create vaccinations for diseases such as, Parkinson’s and all timers.
7. Yes, I do think the ISS program's benefits is worth the costs because, even though the new space lab will only be used for a short amount of time, it will make many scientific breakthroughs . This lab will not only create vaccines for disease, but will save many lives. The lives of the children of God.
8. An experiment that might benefit from being conducted in a weightless environment is maybe an experiment to do with weight. For example, you can record how long it takes foe an egg to hit the ground on earth. Then when you travel up into space you came time how long it takes for the egg to hit the floor. This experiment would be immensely fun!!!!

1) In my opinion, some reasons a lawmaker would appear on a news program is so that he or she can get more people to support his opinion of what the law should be. Lots of people watch the news and the lawmaker could have many more people find out about the law and possibly more people would vote for the law. Also, if there is a confusion where the people are not sure what the law effects, or why it is being created.
ReplyDelete2)The details known about the hostage are that some people from Pakistan held six guards and five gunmen hostage. Militants took control of the army HQ and had dozens of people were held hostage. The bad guys threatened to blow up the building. The standoff lasted a whole day.
3) I think that the Taliban would want to attack a Pakistani military facility because they could have wanted revenge on the Pakistani people. Also, maybe it made them feel stronger.
4)My opinion on Barack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize is that he is undeserving. He has done nothing that has helped the country. Sure, he has all these plans that he and some of the public think are so brilliant, but they're not. None of his plans have worked yet. The country has not gotten out of the recession at all. If we had a different president maybe our problems would be closer to being over, or they would already be over. Obama knows nothing on how to run a country, or create peace. The Nobel Peace Prize isn't supposed to be given to someone like him. It's supposed to go to, in my opinion, someone who has made peace or has made a change in the country or world for the good of everyone. Obama, I think, has taken a step backwards for peace because he recently took down bomb shields that were over eastern Russia. This is making it easier for the US's allies to be harmed. That is not peace at all. Obama is just creating one big, giant mess of the world.
5) I think a Nobel Peace Prize winner should be a person, as I said in the paragraph above, that has made peace or has made a change in the country or world for the good of everyone. That is someone who really deserves the prize. I think more weight should be put on the person's accomplishments, not their potential for future achievement. They may decide that they're going to change the world greatly for the good of everyone in three weeks, but then they may never get to it. Or in another situation, they may do it but it could turn out to be a total disaster. That doesn't deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. You need to have already made that change, and helped the world. If you have already done this amazing thing, then you deserve to be rewarded. The Nobel Peace Prize should not be given for your plans or beliefs, but to someone who deserves it and made a good impact on the world.
6) The International Space Station has cost the US 44 billion dollars. Some of the beneficial outcomes of the program is that the scientists are finding cures for diseases faster that on earth. The gravity makes the difference.
7) In my opinion, the benefits of the ISS are worth the cost. Many peoples' lives could be saved because different vaccines were found. If it took ten years on earth and one year in space to find a vaccine, many people's lives would be saved by having the cure for nine more years. The ISS could save many lives.
8) An experiment that might benefit from being conducted in space is if you tried to make robots for all humans to use every day as servants. If something went very wrong, and the robot went crazy, one of the spacecraft workers could throw the robot out of the spacecraft and it would burn up when it got near the sun. It would not hurt any of mankind.

1) A lawmaker would choose to appear on a political news program because they would want to reach out to everyone who doesn't know about the situation. They would also want to appear because of publicity. She/he would want to become more admired.
ReplyDelete2) Details about the 22-hour hostage that we know of are that it started on Saturday, 6 guards and 5 gunmen were killed, and by early Sunday morning 39 hostages were rescued.
3) I think Taliban would want to attack a Pakistani military facility because they wanted to show that they have power and control and that they're not afraid. Also, to cause problems for both facilities.
4) My opinion of the Nobel Peace Prize being awarded to President Barack Obama is that it shouldn't have been given to him. I think President Obama is an excellent president, but he didn't do something that was really significant and out of the ordinary that showed he deserved it.
5) The criteria I would you use for selecting a Nobel Peace Prize recipient is how they helped people or things, what they did to make life easier, and if they enhanced things. I would give more weight to a nominee's past accomplishments instead of potential future accomplishments because you never know what could happen in the future and if something goes wrong the award would be for nothing.
6) According to the program, the international space station cost the United States 44 billion dollars. One of the beneficial outcomes of the program is finding vaccines to cure horrible sicknesses.
7) In my opinion, the ISS program's benefits are worth the cost because they are making vaccinations in a very quick period of time, when on Earth it could take 10 years. I think it is smart to do what they are doing.
8) One experiment I thought of is you could bring very heavy objects into space and analyze them in any way you wanted to, but it would be so light that it would be very easy and clever.

1.)A lawmaker would probably want to go on t.v. because alot of people watch t.v. and they just want publicity. 2.)They rescued 33 hostages, they killed six guards and it took an entire day to do it.3.) They might have done it to think they are big and strong and can take power,or they want there money and weapons. 3.)I was shocked that Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize, he should have gotten it later on when he is president because he is just getting started being president.5.)I would think they have to be smart and know what to do for the world. To be a good leader for everyone. Someone they can stand up to. 6.) The space stations have spent about 40-44billion dollars. if this is successful they can find a cure for the sickness. 7.) I think it is worth it because you can save alot of peoples lives from what you just did,but the downside is it cost alot of money. 8.) You can try to bring light weight objects into the space and then a heavy object and see what happens. 7b15
ReplyDelete1) A lawmaker would want to appear on a political news program because they want more publicity. If they have more people listening to them than they can have more success. A lawmakers appearance on tv can do a lot for him/her. It can change the opinion of the listener.
ReplyDelete2)The 22 hour standoff between Pakistani militant and government forces occurred on Saturday, October 10,2009. An attack was made on an army post which led to killing six guards and five gunmen. It ended the day later, and forces rescued the 39 hostages.
3)Taliban would want to attack a Pakistan military facility because they probably want to seem more powerful. The real facts were not in the description of how this fight got about, but it probably had to do with Taliban wanting more authority or having something against Pakistan.
4)Honestly, my opinion to Obama and the Nobel Piece Prize are pretty harsh. The Nobel Piece Prize is a joke now. The Nobel Piece Prize was a great award to some of the most famous people who archived courageous things. Obama said many things during the election of which he would peruse but he hasn't. This is honestly a joke.
5) The criteria I would use to selecting a Nobel Piece Prize recipient would be someone who had archived great things in the world. I would definitely give 99% of what he has archived then what he will do in the future. Sure, I care about the future, but the Nobel Piece Prize is an award given to you for archiving something great. It's what you have archive not what you will achieve. They are two different things. If Martin Luther King said he would archive something before being awarded the Nobel Piece Prize would he be given the Nobel Piece Prize? Martin Luther King was awarded the Nobel Piece Prize because he archived peace for every race. This is what the Nobel Piece Prize is or was all about.
6) The space station cost the United States 44 billion dollars. This program will help us find cures for things that are nearly impossible on Earth.
7) I believe that the ISS is worth the cost because finding a cure for something can save lives.
8) An experiment that might be benefited from finding in a weightless air could be anything. In space there isn't any force so that could possibly help to find cures. It might allow something like bacteria to grow faster because there isn't any force pulling on it.

4.I think President Obama deserved that Nobel Peace Prize because he's a good person and is trying to figure out how to stop all these wars going on.
