There are variety of ways to document a society. Currently, we have video, photos, music, text messaging, and other ways to keep track of what's popular in our culture. However, we take these methods for granted. During the mid 20th century, photography was the main method to document a culture. There were many advances that allowed photographers to paint an accurate picture of America in the mid 1900s.
